The Avet MXJ is a great all around size for 25 and 30lb line, it's perfect for flylining sardines and casting smaller jigs. This model comes as a two speed with no cast control, since there's no extra resistance from the MC cast control your trained thumb is in charge and can get you a great cast on light lures or bait. The Classic or 1st Gen reels have been discontinued for some time and replaced by the G2's but these are still a great deal at the discount offered. The "J" models in Avet's lineup are all narrow reels specifically for jigging, but they're also great for casting and hold plenty of the appropriate line test.
