Daiwa finally released a dedicated popping rod in the US market and it looks to be a good balance between value and performance. These rods have very good recoil for working a popper without being too heavy in the hand, the lighter models also have a bit faster of an action than a lot of popping rods out there which should give you some extra pulling power. The heaviest 7'11" XH model has a slower bend which will prevent fatigue longer so that would be the one I would choose for bigger bluefin and yellowfin if you're casting lures between 120 and 200g. The other models will work well for tuna, yellowtail, giant trevally and more but will take a bit more effort resulting in a faster fight.
The 792MFS model uses Daiwa's own spinning seat while the rest use the gold standard Fuji DPS with long nut for easier tightening and Fuji SiC stainless guides are seen on all models. None of the rods come with a gimbal but the standard butt cap should do for most applications with or without a fighting belt.
